K2 Skis Blog

I know over the course of the past three weeks you have all become dearly attached to me, and I am sad to say that this is the final installment of my blog. Try not to cry.

Skiing so nice you get a forearm tan

Last week, while you were slaving away in your cubicle, I was testing prototype skis at Mt. Bachelor with Mike Hattrup, Andy Mahre, and the K2 Ski engineers. How’s that for job benefits?

In addition to missing out on beautiful bluebird laps in 60-degree weather, you also didn’t get to experience the killer bratwursts I grilled for everybody after the long, exhausting day at work. I’m talking real, boiled in beer and onions, brats.  But you would have been out of luck if you like sauerkraut– I forgot to buy it… Sorry Mrs. Bachmeier.

Today is my final day at K2, so if you’re on Delta Flight 1542 out of Sea-Tac tonight and you see someone covered in tomatoes, then you’ll know that my final presentation didn’t go so well.

In all seriousness, this has been an amazing experience and I want to express my sincerest gratitude to everyone at K2 for making my time here so worthwhile. Keep doing what you guys and gals do.

Deuces Seattle.
